A life story
Amino Alliance® is the brainchild of Diederik van Nederveen Meerkerk and has been made possible with the invaluable help of his uncle Prof. Dr. Arne van der Gen. Below is Diederik’s story.
Diederik has explored the world as a sailor, having sailed from France to Guadeloupe at the age of 18. First on a racing yacht and later from Tenerife on a large yacht owned by an American businessman. This American talked about how American culture is largely based on individual effort and the “Dream” of those who dare to pursue it. “You’re allowed to stand out from the crowd there without being showered with envy and jealousy.” This gave young Diederik tremendous motivation, so that after finishing his education, he soon decided to walk into auditions in Hollywood as an actor and model. His “Go-Getter” attitude pleased a shrewd movie producer, who, after an unusual turn of the audition for the “Guest Star,” gave him a role in Acapulco HEAT, a TV series of the B-movie variety. For Diederik, it was an incredible experience to see how things are done on an American film set, even though it was on location in Mexico.
The James Bond-like story was filled with action, explosions, and encounters with beautiful ladies. The friendships that arose from acting – but also from the modeling work that was increasingly offered to him – gave him a new perspective on the nature and ways of actors and models. Their “beauty tips” – some of which he adopted himself – helped prevent premature aging of his skin.
It was mainly the insights he received from movie stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Toni Curtis, Lou Ferringo, Andy Garcia, Liam Neeson, Sharon Stone, Bo Derek and American Gladiator star Erika Andersch, with whom he began a relationship.
Erika Andersch was the first woman to show him the world of female muscle mass, speed, and immense discipline. “After Arnold Schwarzenegger introduced us to each other, a strong friendship immediately formed and has remained intact to this day. I have greatly benefited from her advice and insights.”
After lots of stunt work and more acting in Cyberzone, Murphy Brown (guest star), among others, Diederik made his own film: Mr. Atlas, a film for children aged 6 to 12 years. Mr. Atlas was aired on ShowTime, HBO, and The Movie Channel for years.
After that, Diederik got another role in Sun Storm, after which he decided to focus on building his own company.

The road to Amino Alliance
Contrary to acting, Diederik found more satisfaction in helping people with their health. He continued to satisfy his thirst for adventure through sailing the seas. Recently he took a trip through the Caribbean with his sisters and friends, from the Antilles to Cuba and then around the Swedish islands.
He spoke with many experts, including visionary Wim Hof, also known as ‘The Ice Man’. Wim developed breathing techniques that allowed him to achieve unprecedented performances. Diederik now also uses parts of this technique himself. Besides ‘The Ice Man’, Diederik also spoke with experts in the field of fasting and mindset: meditation techniques with scientific support.
Friendships such as the one with movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger, which began in 1992, give Diederik a unique insight into the aging process, which even that action hero cannot escape from. With that information, it was possible to inspire his uncle, Prof. Dr. Arne van der Gen, to inspire you to develop a unique and scientifically based product. He remains connected to the Amino Alliance product through his studies.
